Dexperts Inc. | Remote | Jun 2021 – Jan 2025
Project: Enterprise Privileged Access Management (CyberArk PAM)
Client: Optiv Security
Project Description:
This project aimed to modernize the organization’s Identity & Access Management (IAM) landscape by implementing CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) to secure high-risk privileged accounts across Windows, cloud platforms, and core business applications.
I worked closely with CyberArk engineers, Active Directory/Entra ID teams, and information security stakeholders to define IAM requirements, streamline onboarding processes, enforce least-privilege controls, and strengthen compliance posture. The goal was to reduce excessive permissions, align access with business roles, and eliminate dormant or orphaned accounts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Gathered and analyzed IAM requirements for integrating CyberArk with Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, databases, servers.
· Partnered with business stakeholders, security teams, and IT admins to gather requirements for Privileged Access Management (PAM) using CyberArk.
· Collaborated with business and technical teams to define and document IAM requirements for integration with Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, and PAM systems.
· Collaborated with CyberArk engineers and developers to configure and test safe structures, password rotation policies, and session monitoring.
· Created BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and use cases for IAM features, including password vaulting, least-privilege enforcement, and access request workflows.
· Conducted UAT planning and execution for CyberArk features, ensuring smooth rollouts with minimal disruption.
· Prepared training materials and conducted knowledge transfer sessions for IT admins and end-users on CyberArk functionalities.
· Ensured continuous monitoring of privileged accounts through reporting, dashboards, and incident tracking.
Key Achievements:
· Streamlined privileged account onboarding, reducing manual provisioning time by 40%.
· Enhanced compliance readiness by automating audit reporting and enforcing password rotation policies.
· Improved security posture by implementing session monitoring and least-privilege principles across critical systems.
