“ACHIEVING THROUGH BELIEVING” No institute is built in a single day or by a single person. It is a pursuit that demands time, patience, team work and in all inspiring vision. NIILM University, Kaithal, in its present form, is a fructification of these efforts. I do acknowledge the contribution of its Chairman and Members of Management Board who, in their own ways, have contributed to the establishment and growth of the university. I can visualize the amount of energy and dedication that might have gone into establishing the University.  Universities are temples of higher learning. As academic, innovation, skill and research spaces they have to contribute significantly in the development of a nation and its people. They have to act as custodians of their trust, aspirations and inspirations. As an inclusive learning space NIILM University, Kaithal too is poised for this socially responsible academic, innovation, skill and research leap.   Its realization, however, demands an innovative mix of academic excellence, innovation skills and cutting edge research. It demands symbiotic inter-linkage among the university, the industry and the society. We will build up on what we have and reorient in futuristically to arrive at our dream destination.

We will equip ourselves with innovative pedagogies that help us transcend conventional classroom boundaries and turn these very spaces into model instruction zones for disseminating knowledge through multidisciplinary approach. The University shall facilitate the teaching-learning community with the latest resources including virtual classrooms, Online E-resources (OER) and MOOCs for developing and nurturing an enabling environment for the free exchange and cross-fertilization of ideas and knowledge.

As the head of the institution, I shall endeavor to open new vistas of knowledge and employment and create synergies utilizing the existing strengths and building capabilities in new and cutting edge areas of academics, innovation, skill and research. Through innovations in curricula and collaboration with other academic and research institutions and Industries university will make rigorous efforts to optimize the outcome of the entire teaching-learning delivery mechanism. Focus will be on developing a student centric approach through the course of entire education, which caters to the diverse needs of our students. Towards this end, ‘hands-on’ training, learning and education will be given a major push and the course curricula shall be designed redesigned and bench marked in collaboration with experts from HEIs and industries in tune with choice Based Credit System (CBSC), National credit frame work (NCFW), National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) and National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NSVEQF) to meet out the requirements of NEP-2020. With the economy opening up and special emphasis being laid on manufacturing and Service sector there is tremendous need to design courses, which directly cater to these two sectors. This will be achieved through the proposed initiative like B.Voc, and Training-cum-Incubation Centre for Internship research & Employment and skill development.

The University is committed to provide adequate academic and physical infrastructure to facilitate the creation and sharing of knowledge, university will be striving to achieve ever-new milestones in academic, research and innovative pursuits with team-spirit and collective efforts of stake holders for realizing the vision of developing the University as a Centre of Excellence in near future.

So let us all – the students, faculty and the administrative staff—join hands and honestly embark on this journey of hope, aspirations, potentialities and possibilities.
