A highly accomplished academic and administrator with extensive experience spanning over 03 decades in the field of Communication, Sociology, Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Extension Education, Research Methodology. Agricultural Extension and Communication. Dr. D.D. Sharma has served as a Professor, Head of Department, Director, Student welfare officer and retired as Dean, COH & F, Thunag (Mandi), H.P., contributing significantly to education, research, and institutional development. Currently, a Professor at MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Shoolini University, he has guided 56 postgraduate students, published 98+ research articles Scopus, SCI index) , authored 4 books/manuals, and contributed 78 popular/extension articles.Experience guiding 90+ PG students (MBA, MSc, PhD).
Dr. Sharma is recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Distinguished Scientist Award by SEEMA (2014) and the ISEE Fellow Award (2015), Life time achievement award (2025). With 1 granted patent and 7 filed, his contributions to innovation are noteworthy. He won many prizes like young scientist award,best paper presentation award,Extensions Awards Distinguished Scientist, and Achievement Awards etc.
His professional affiliations include life memberships in esteemed societies like the International Extension Forum and Indian Society of Extension Education. An active participant in extracurricular and administrative activities, he has also been a program officer for NSS and organized 12 special NSS training camps. Dr. Sharma's legacy is marked by excellence in teaching, research, extension services, and academic leadership.Having taught MBA (Agri-Business) courses for over two decades, I bring a strong interdisciplinary background combining management education, social science, and communication, suitable for teaching MBA and HSS subjects.
