About

I, Dr. Nazneen, a dedicated legal academician and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor at NIILM University. I hold a Ph.D. in Law from K.R. Mangalam University, specializing in Environmental Law. I have qualified SLET in Law and hold an LL.M. from Jagannath University and a B.A. LL.B. from NEF Law College, Gauhati University.

I have teaching and academic experience at K.R. Mangalam University, along with expertise in research, student mentoring, academic coordination, and NAAC-related activities. My research interests include Environmental Law, Water Pollution, Environmental Protection, Sustainable Development, and Constitutional Law. I have presented research papers at various national and international conferences and published research articles in academic journals.

As an academician, I am committed to delivering quality legal education, fostering critical thinking, encouraging research-oriented learning, and nurturing the intellectual and professional development of students. I also strive to enhance my academic and professional competencies through faculty development programmes, workshops, conferences, and ongoing research activities.

International Conference

• Presented the paper titled “Green Constitution and Sustainable Developmental in India” at International Conference on “Environmental Law, Governance and Sustainable Developmental” organized by the School of Legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, in collaboration with the International Council of Jurist London and Law Mantra Trust New Delhi held on 17th- 18th November 2022.

• Presented the Paper title: “The Impact of Technology on sustainable Development and environment Protection” at International Conference on “Leveraging the Digital Transformational for Environmental Sustainability-Envisioning A Developed India by 2040” organized by the Indore Institute of Law, held on 22nd June 2024.

• Presented the Paper title: “Role of judiciary in Environment Protection in India” organized by the School of Law, Satyabhama Institute of science and Technology (Deemed to be university) Chennai, in the National conference on Environment Polices (NCEP’24) held on 10th -11th July 2024.

• Attended the National Seminar on “Justice Delivery System: Arrears And Its Solution” Organized By All Assam Lawyers’ Association, Guwahati in Association with Bar Council Of India, New Delhi (13th November, 2016).

• Attended One Week Faculty Development Programme on "Navigating Scopus & WoS for Effective Paper Publication" organized by KnowledgeSteez Edu Hub LLP, Management & Science University(MSU) Malaysia and School of Legal Studies, K.R. Mangalam University from 5th May 2025 - 11th May 2025.

• Attended Five Days Faculty Development Programme on “Faculty Development Program” organized by Amity Law School and Pro-Bono Club, Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with AFIAI presents Faculty Development Program, held from March 24-28, 2025.

• Attended One Week online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on” Multi- Disciplinary Approach to Research Methodology in Humanities and Social Science” organized by K.R. Mangalam University and Kasturba Institute of psychology and Medicine, Greater Noida, held from 28 July 2022 to 03 August 2022.

• Attended the Panel Discussion on the topic of "Redefining the Scope of the ICC Jurisdicion: Recognising Ecocide as the Fifth International Crime organised by Students for the Promotion of International Law (SPIL), Mumbai during the 15th Government Law College - International Summit MMXXV, held at Government Law College. Mumbai on the 8th day of March, 2025.

• Attended in the One-Day Workshop on “ AI as a Research Catalyst” organized by Research and Development Cell of K.R. Mangalam University, held on 25th January, 2025.

• Attended and presented paper titled, “Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012” organized by District Legal Services Authorities, at ADR Centre, Jhajjar, Haryana (17th January, 2020).

• Participated in the “Jigyasa-2” Intra- University Quiz & Debate Competition, organized by Department of Law which was held on 26th November, 2019.

• Participated in the NEF & LAW National Trial Advocacy Workshop, 2019, a course emulating all procedural aspects of a criminal trial, jointly organized by NEF Law College, Guwahati and Law for Aid and Welfare (LAW)(11th -13th March, 2019.)

• Participated in a 6 months course titled Diploma Course in Data Management at Allied Infotech, Old Lambulance, Imphal-1 (March, 2014).

Social Responsibility

• Volunteered in a legal survey of different villages/ remote areas to enquire about the legal problems and social issues organized by District Legal Services Authorities, Jhajjar, Haryana.
