SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS OF LITERARY WORKS FOR ECONOMIC AND STATISTICAL INSIGHTS

Date of Publication of Patent in the Government. Gadzet: 23/02/2024

The Patent Office Journal No. 08/2024 Dated 23/02/2024

ABSTRACT: There have never been more chances to draw statistical and economic conclusions from literary works than in the modern digital era, thanks to the merging of literal and data science. Predictive analysis of literary texts to extract significant economic and statistical information is presented in this invention along with a related computing system and a systematic framework. To analyze large literary corpora, our method employs methods for natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, and statistical modelling. When it comes to constructing and testing hypotheses that entail describing, predicting, or explaining a causal link, statistical modelling is a beneficial technique that can be utilized. The idea that models with significant explanatory capacity are likewise effective predictors is widely held in a variety of fields, particularly those in which statistical modelling is largely utilized to explain causal linkages. Occasionally, individuals confuse explanation with prediction. This takes place in certain situations. There are a great number of variables that come into play when performing models with an explanatory rather than a predictive objective; yet, the statistical literature does not contain any comprehensive examinations of these variables. In spite of the fact that statisticians have failed to fully address this issue, philosophers of science have acknowledged its existence. In this invention, we will examine the distinctions between explanatory and predictive modelling, as well as the origins of these differences and the ways in which they impact each stage of the modelling process in a practical sense.
