NIILM University’s School of Sciences and Allied Sciences Hosts Dynamic Science Exhibition to Ignite Innovation and Scientific Spirit

The School of Sciences and Allied Sciences at NIILM University organized a vibrant Science Exhibition on 30th April 2025, designed to inspire scientific curiosity, innovation, and collaborative learning among students. Participants from various departments demonstrated their scientific knowledge and creativity through a variety of working and non-working models.

The exhibition served as a practical platform for students to apply theoretical concepts, showcase innovative ideas, and gain hands-on experience in model-building and scientific presentations.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including Mr. Sandeep Chahal (Chairman), Mr. Balraj Dhanda (Director), Prof. Dr. Shamim Ahamad (Vice-Chancellor), Dr. Rajiv Dahiya (Registrar), Prof. Dr. R.K. Gupta (Dean Academics), Dr. Rekha Gupta (Dean, Commerce & Management), and Mr. Sarabjeet (Assistant Registrar). These dignitaries engaged with the students, lauded their efforts, and inspired them through their encouraging words. Awards were also distributed to the top-performing teams.

The models were evaluated by a respected panel of judges: Mr. Deepak Kumar (HoD, Pharmaceutical Sciences), Er. Ompal Gupta (Faculty of Engineering), Dr. Kamalpreet Kaur (HoD, Commerce), and Dr. Usha (Assistant Professor, School of Law). Judging was based on criteria including scientific understanding, innovation, and presentation skills.

Results of the Science Exhibition:

Working Model Category:

  • 1st Position: Team 1 – Working Heart (Sahil, Malkit, Sourav)

  • 2nd Position: Team 18 – Fire and Earthquake (Neha)

  • 3rd Position: Team 4 – Algebraic Expression (Prince, Saksham, Sristi, Nishu, Gurpreet)

Non-Working Model Category:

  • 1st Position: Team 31 – Indian Forest System (IFS) (Puneet, Prince, Jatin, Himanshu, Gurpreet, Subham, Naveen, Raman, Ajay, Fardeen)

  • 2nd Position: Team 41 – Yogic Science (Malkit, Ritesh, Abhishek, Menka)

  • 3rd Position: Team 33 – Pythagoras Theorem (Jasleen, Bhavneet, Upasana, Shivani, Gobind)

The event was successfully organized under the leadership of Dr. Rajiv Pal (Dean, School of Sciences) and Dr. Richa Mor (Dean, Allied Sciences), whose support and guidance were pivotal.

Dr. Renu Bala and Dr. Rishika, the event coordinators, expressed heartfelt thanks to all participants, faculty, and staff whose efforts contributed to making the exhibition a resounding success.

 

This Science Exhibition not only showcased students' academic and creative abilities but also fostered interdisciplinary learning, teamwork, and a strong culture of innovation at NIILM University.
