B.A.LL. B

The Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (B.A.LL.B) program is an integrated undergraduate course that combines the study of humanities or social sciences with the foundational aspects of law. This interdisciplinary program offers students a comprehensive understanding of both legal principles and the broader societal context in which law operates. The B.A.LL.B curriculum typically encompasses subjects such as history, political science, economics, sociology, and philosophy, alongside core legal subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, contract law, tort law, and legal methods. By integrating liberal arts subjects with legal education, students develop a well-rounded perspective, critical thinking skills, and interdisciplinary insights into law and society. The program emphasizes legal reasoning, analysis, and writing, preparing students for legal practice, advocacy, and policymaking. Through experiential learning opportunities such as moot court competitions, internships, and legal aid clinics, students gain practical skills and hands-on experience in applying legal principles to real-world scenarios. Graduates of B.A.LL.B programs are eligible to pursue further studies, such as the bar exam or legal practice course, to qualify as practicing lawyers. They are also well-equipped for careers in diverse fields such as legal practice, judiciary, academia, public policy, corporate law, international relations, and social justice advocacy, where they can contribute to addressing legal challenges and promoting justice, equity, and the rule of law in society.
