B. Sc. – Yoga

A Bachelor of Science in Yoga offers a rigorous academic exploration of the multifaceted aspects of yoga, blending scientific principles with traditional wisdom. This program combines in-depth studies of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics with a thorough understanding of yoga philosophy, history, and practice. Students delve into the physiological effects of yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation practices on the body and mind. They learn how yoga can enhance physical health, improve mental well-being, and promote overall wellness through evidence-based research and experiential learning. Additionally, the curriculum often includes courses on nutrition, psychology, and neuroscience to provide a comprehensive understanding of the holistic benefits of yoga. Practical components of the program may involve supervised teaching practicums, where students learn how to adapt yoga practices to meet the needs of diverse populations and address specific health concerns. Graduates of a B.Sc. in Yoga are equipped with a scientific foundation and practical skills to work as yoga instructors, wellness coaches, or pursue further studies in fields such as physical therapy, sports science, or integrative medicine.
