Anti-ragging Policy

At NIILM University, we uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, firmly believing in fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and mutual support for all members of our community. Our stance against ragging is unequivocal, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of every student on our campus.

Our Approach:

DON’T RAG BUT INTERACT:

Ragging, defined as any disorderly conduct causing annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm to a junior student, has no place in our university. We promote interaction that is respectful, inclusive, and conducive to meaningful relationships.

Myths & Facts about Ragging:

  • Myths: Ragging makes students bold and prepares them for difficult circumstances.
  • Facts: Ragging instills fear and harm, hindering personal and academic growth.

Supporting Anti-Ragging:

  • All students sign an anti-ragging declaration upon enrollment.
  • Billboards displaying anti-ragging messages are prominently placed across campus.
  • Mobile patrols by security personnel ensure vigilance and deterrence.
  • Announcements during inaugural ceremonies raise awareness about anti-ragging measures.
  • Contact information of important functionaries is readily available for reporting incidents.
  • Suggestions/complaint boxes are strategically located for anonymous reporting.
  • Active Anti-Ragging squad and committee monitor and address concerns.
  • Faculty members maintain strict vigilance and promote healthy interactions.
  • Cultural and sports activities foster positive fresher-senior engagement.
  • Surprise checks and room arrangements in hostels deter ragging incidents.
  • Classes are conducted as per schedule to minimize unsupervised interactions.

Our Commitment:

  • We are resolute in our mission to eradicate ragging from our campus.
  • We stand in solidarity with every student, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • We urge everyone to stand against ragging and create a supportive environment for all.

At NIILM University, we believe in creating a nurturing and respectful atmosphere where every student can thrive. Join us in our commitment to make our campus a ragging-free zone.
