79th Independence Day Celebration at NIILM University, Kaithal

NIILM University, Kaithal, celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pomp and patriotic fervor on 15th November. The entire campus was filled with a spirit of pride, unity, and devotion towards the nation.

The celebrations began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Shamim Ahmed, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. After unfurling the tricolor, Dr. Ahmed paid heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters and brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Ahmed said, “Today is a historic day. After years of struggle, our country became independent on 15th August 1947. India’s freedom movement is worth writing in golden letters. It is because of the sacrifice of millions of freedom fighters and revolutionaries that we are able to breathe the air of freedom today.”

Following the flag hoisting ceremony, students of the University showcased their talent through a series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits, which reflected the essence of independence and national pride.
