B. A. - Yoga

A Bachelor of Arts in Yoga encompasses a comprehensive study of the ancient practice, philosophy, and science of yoga. This degree program delves deeply into the history, principles, and techniques of yoga, offering a holistic understanding of its physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions. Students explore various styles of yoga, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, and Iyengar, gaining proficiency in asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), meditation, and relaxation techniques. The curriculum often includes courses on anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga practice, as well as classes on the philosophical foundations of yoga, including the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and other classical texts. Moreover, students may engage in practical teaching experiences, learning how to design and lead yoga classes effectively and safely. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on personal growth, self-awareness, and the integration of yogic principles into daily life. Graduates of a B.A. in Yoga are equipped not only with the skills to become certified yoga instructors but also with a deep understanding of the transformative power of yoga for both individuals and communities.
